I love lingerie. I always had a thing for how it makes me feel. Achieving that feeling requires more than a cute bra and panty set though, that set has to FIT.
Omg, lingerie that doesn't fit is the WORST. It pulls in the wrong places, you're spilling out, and the girls- they might as well not be in anything at all. I've not always had a large chest, but after three kids...I'm pushing DD. I know some of my friends laugh at this- and only because they're in letters like HH, and PPP (lol, ok that's an exaggeration, I don't know if PPP is a bra size, but you get the point). The problems and discomforts from an ill-fitting bra are myriad. We all are so familiar with them, so I'm not going to list any. My best advice for that is to get a plastic surgeon and get them reduced! Just kidding, often the best solution is the simplest- go make sure you're wearing the proper bra size by getting an in-person fitting. When we wear lingerie that doesn't fit, we can't relax, we're uncomfortable, and it makes our clothes look bad. You won't be feeling confident enough to exude that natural sexiness the lingerie is there to enhance. So what's the point in wearing it? I hear you, I do.
If you're like me and love lingerie and have large breasts, you'll definitely want to keep reading. I've done a little market research for you. That's right - this is a list of brands I have actually spent my own money on. Let's go!
Savage X Fenty
I ADORE Savage X Fenty! This brand is by far my favorite lingerie brand. The lingerie is fierce, they come in a range of sizes (from XS - 3X) and there are gorgeous pieces for great prices. I picked up a bralette for my closet this weekend for $8.98. My clients love their corsets too because they offer support and enhance large breasts so well. If you don't already own a great corset, definitely check them out and grab one...or three.
Ivory Rose
This brand makes bras for women with larger breasts only, and the cups range in size from DD to G. Frilly details and matchy-matchy sets will make you feel oh-so-chic, too. The underwire mesh body suit is perfect for a fuller bust. The entire brand is really has a really great range of balconette and underwired styles. They're all finished with pretty lace overlays and bow details that photograph so well. Find them at asos.com.
ThirdLove
Everyone's talking about ThirdLove. And why wouldn't they be? The super soft and stylish pieces go up to 42H. Another feature of this brand is that the bras come in half-sizes. This is great if you're between sizes or just not sure how a bra would fit if you just went up a smidge. Half-sizing has been around since the early 2000's but has seen a recent surge in popularity as the body positive movement has gained more traction.
Hips and Curves
Hips and Curves's lingerie styles are available in sizes 10 to 28 (or 1X to 6X), and they include this awesome strappy lace bralette, which has lined cups for additional support. My favorite bras come from their Pretty Support Bras line...seriously, go look at how sexy they are. The thing I love most about Hips and Curves is that even though the bra is definitely gorgeous enough to look like the only thing I'll be able to do is stand around and look cute...I can actually wear these bras all day. They are SO comfortable.
Yandy
Yandy's inclusive range runs from 1X through 4X and has many cute options, like this edgy high-neckline bra with sheer mesh paneling. Lingerie and Yandy are synonymous with sexy. Check out trendy lingerie pieces such as babydolls, rompers, chemises, teddies, and crotchless lingerie guaranteed to keep your boudoir looking hot and fresh! Another reason I love Yandy is they are so inexpensive.
