Warning...Sexy images ahead
I AM SO EXCITED to share these images from my first several shoots in the new studio! We have several sets featured in this blog post, and I hope you are able to picture yourself in the studio. Our team is currently getting ready for a huge Christmas in July promotion, so if you're thinking about a shoot and want to take advantage of an amazing deal, now is a good time to join the studio's VIP Facebook group, The Crown Adjustment Society: A Self Love Rebellion. This group is the only place we promote our studio sales. Think of this group like a sleepover with all your best friends. We're an inclusive group of women and other marginalized genders who celebrate body positivity, lifting each other up, and sharing ridiculous (and occasionally naughty) memes. We are super active and I welcome you to be a part of that! You can also find me on Instagram @theeshannonohara.
One more announcement before we get into the images: our studio is now offering payment plans! We also accept Paypal Credit, Klarna, Affirm, CashApp, Venmo, and Zelle.
If you're interested in a session, but concerned about the costs these options are definitely something I'd be happy to walk you through. You can click here to select a time on our studio calendar to have your own free consultation. These consultations take about twenty minutes and can take place in-studio (recommended) or over the phone if that's more convenient for you.
Session Type: After Dark
This session takes place in the studio once the sun has set. Using one single continuous light, I am able to create dramatic images. These images are deep with shadow, contrast and absolutely ooze power and dominance over your sexuality. If you're someone who is feeling shy about their body, I definitely recommend an after dark session. I've found that the lower lighting also lowers inhibitions and my clients and I are able to create deeply emotional images. All our sessions include complimentary hair and makeup. Our after dark sessions are heavily influenced by my admiration for the art of Caravaggio. If you're interested in this type of session, the first step is to book your FREE consultation.
Session Type: Studio in the Daytime
This session is the most commonly booked with our studio. It takes place during the morning with the client arriving at 9:30am, and heading right into hair and makeup. While you're being pampered by my team, I'll be sorting through any outfits you brought for your session. I'll also be pulling pieces from our client closet (where sizes range from 00-4X because let's face it: I have a lingerie addition), and putting together the outfits and accessories for your session. After hair and makeup, which generally is complete by 11am we start getting you dressed and begin the shoot. The shooting part of the session lasts about two hours. I recommend all my clients stretch and drink lots of water in the days leading up to your session! Shooting is so much fun, but holding poses is WERK, hunty. After the shoot you'll receive a care package as a token of our appreciation, intended to help you relax and soothe your muscles after the session is complete. If you're interested in this type of session the first step is to book your FREE consultation.
Session Feature: Tropical Outdoor Shower & Tub
I cannot overstate how excited I am to share these images from my first session in the new tropical garden I created! After a week of hauling rocks in my minivan (shout out to Anthony and San Diego Rock Supply for all the help), researching the type of plants I'd need to complete the look, and ordering my dedicated husband around, my vision for this space has finally come to fruition. Initially, when the studio opened we had the tub located inside, but I was not getting the look I wanted to achieve. Milk bath photoshoots have been around now for the last seven years and honestly, as an artist I'm kind of over them. (Maybe, because I shot so many back when I was a maternity and newborn photographer, but I digress.) When I got my own tub, I knew I wanted to do something different than how I'd originally set the tub up, but my team and I had a launch event to execute, building a new set in time for launch just wasn't feasible.
I truly hope you enjoy the images I've created. This space has so much symbolism and personal aspects in it. The plants are a nod to my Jamaican grandmother who had the greenest thumb ever. The conch shell peeking out is from Turks and Caicos, the first trip I took after I fully recovered from stage 4 non-Hodkins Lymphoma and six rounds of chemotherapy. This set is deeply personal to me, and I feel so lucky to be here to share it with you during your session.
